Job Description

The East Rochester School District has a unique opening for a 1:1 Teacher Aide at St. John Bosco School. This is a per diem position with the potential to transition to a full-year assignment. 

• Assist the classroom teacher by performing non-instructional duties to support student with disabilities individually, in small groups, and/or with test proctoring
• Assist with general supervision of student in a multitude of settings including, but not limited to, classroom, hallways, lunchroom, and playground
• Assist with preparing classroom materials, projects, demonstrations, and displays.
• Assist with clerical and record-keeping duties or other general housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Assist in self-help, personal care activities, and mobility for student with disabilities
• Willing to continue ongoing professional development in support of program placement.
• Perform other duties related to specific programs.
• Attend meetings as necessary.
• Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Job Qualifications

 

• Civil Service eligibility for Teacher Aide/Paraeducator is required: graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency
