Job Description

The East Rochester School District is recruiting a probationary, tenure-track Elementary School Counselor. The Elementary school serves 400 students in a culturally responsive setting tailored to meet the needs of all students.

• Promote Academic and Social-Emotional Learning
• Provide Tier 1 instruction, interventions, and counseling K-5
• Support on-demand, initial intake, and counseling needs
• Support  student and family case management
• Help students realize their potential and make progress
• Chair 504 Meetings
• Maintain and enhance collaboration with team members and department members.
• Utilize technology to maximize instruction and learning
• Support students in crises and provide appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student well-being.
• Conduct assessments and develop action plans for students who require additional support and guidance.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions

*Additional salary for contractual summer workdays

Job Qualifications

NYS School Counselor Certification

Prior Elementary School experience preferred, but not necessary
