Job Description

Extended School Year Special Education Teacher 

Program Overview:

This is a CSE-determined service that is used to prevent substantial regression for students. 

• Implement NYS ELA and Mathematics curriculum 
• Provide highly engaging and effective instruction in a condensed scheduling format
• Plan and facilitate lessons 
• Track and report student progress. 

Program Dates:

• July 7–August 15, 2025  (Monday-Friday)
• Four hours per day, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 
• Includes 30 minutes of planning per day 
• Four hours of planning between June 30–July 3

Job Qualifications

Requirements: 

• New York State Certification

• Dual certification is desirable

• Knowledge of NYS curriculum and assessments
