 Speech & Language Pathologist K-12 

• Completes in-depth diagnostic evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
• Presents a comprehensive analysis of students' communication abilities and needs through the formal CSE evaluation process and other professional evaluation cycles.
• Develops and implements effective goals, techniques, and lessons.
• The SLP provides individual and group speech and language therapy for communication disorders, including functional communication, augmentative and alternative communication, oral-motor skills, speech and language development.
• Follows students' IEP to plan and implement speech and language activities, monitor student progress, and provide IEP updates during the school year.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, families, educators, and other professionals.
• Awareness and experience with relevant technology mediums would be ideal.
• Proficiency in conducting standardized assessments, interpreting results, and documenting progress.
• K-12 experience preferred.
• Familiarity with proper progress monitoring tools and Frontline IEP Management software.
• Knowledge of NYS Special Education Regulations and IEP development

East Rochester Schools is recruiting a TIES Coordinator.

The TIES (Together Including Every Student) Program promotes the participation of children and young adults who have developmental disabilities in inclusive, extracurricular, and community activities of their choice, by providing support from trained peer volunteers. This program is available to students between the ages of 8 and 21, with support provided by trained student volunteers in grades 8-12.

The TIES Coordinator is essential in helping families explore available opportunities, developing support plans for each participant, and marketing TIES to the local school and community.

Responsibilities:

•  Promote TIES with school and community leaders
•  Develop individual support plans for each participant to guide the volunteer
•  Provide support to volunteers, participants, and activity leaders 
•  Participate in program planning, including development and evaluation of program objectives
•  Satisfactorily meet training requirements
•  Maintain knowledge of current activities in the field

This program is funded by an IDEA grant.

This is a labor position involving cleaning duties in the upkeep of building interiors, furniture, and fixtures for a school.  Work involves following simple routines and procedures in accomplishing tasks. Employees may work split shifts.  Work is performed under the direct supervision of a Custodian or Head Custodian who assigns cleaning tasks and inspects completed work.  Does related work as required. Substitutes can work an entire 8-hour shift or may be able to work partial shifts. 

Per diem Teacher Assistants and Teacher Aides

• Assists teachers and students in the classroom.
• Assists students with academic assignments.
• Performs simple and routine clerical duties such as copying or duplicating, filing, and compiling attendance sheets.
• Proctors examinations.
• Assists handicapped students with their daily activities with regard to mobility.

This is an as-needed position to work in our school offices and offer support to teachers, administrators, staff, and students. 

The pay rate varies based on responsibilities.

• Answering the telephone
• Admitting visitors to the building

Per diem positions for RN and LPN

We offer $16/hr for an LPN and $20/hr for an RN. The average school day is 7 hours

This is an entry-level food service position involving the performance of simple, routine, manual work in the preparation and serving of food in a cafeteria or other dining area.  Employees of this class are also responsible for cleaning, kitchen equipment, and utensils, and non-disposable eating utensils, glassware, and china.  Work is performed under the direct and close supervision of a higher ranking food service employee. Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this class.  Does related work as required.

This is an entry-level unskilled position involving a variety of routine heavy and light manual labor tasks including ground maintenance activities, and building cleaning. The job requires physical endurance. May be required to work outdoors in all kinds of weather, and to work overtime. Does related work as required.
