- Operates floor and carpet cleaning/scrubbing equipment;
- Repairs furniture; Performs minor carpentry, mechanical, and related tasks; makes minor repairs to plumbing and electrical fixtures and related equipment;
- Checks to ensure that buildings are heated, cleaned, locked, and unlocked in readiness for all activities;
- Checks operation of heating systems;
- Support grounds operations as needed;
- Ensures buildings are secure and utilize electronic security systems;
- Assists in unloading, moving, handling, and delivery of equipment, furniture, and supplies;
- Maintains building recycling program;
- Paint rooms and equipment;
- Maintains swimming pools;
- Assists with setting up and tearing down athletic contests and special events, as well as general policing of facilities during such events;
- Inspects and monitors facility cleanliness and level of presentation;
- Exercises sound judgment in taking corrective action as necessary;
- Reports facility repair and emergency issues to supervisor;
- Effectively utilizes communication tools, including but not limited to email and computerized maintenance management software.

The TIES (Together Including Every Student) Program promotes the participation of children and young adults who have developmental disabilities in inclusive, extracurricular, and community activities of their choice, by providing support from trained peer volunteers. This program is available to students between the ages of 8 and 21, with support provided by trained student volunteers in grades 8-12. The TIES Coordinator is essential in helping families explore available opportunities, developing support plans for each participant, and marketing TIES to the local school and community.
